Fusion
Fusions are... tricky. Though it's rare, it's said that some of these beasts cross-breed - or those who arrive take traits of more then one. Unpredictable and always seen as dangerous, they're not as strong as either of the two which make them up.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • Up to half the traits of both species you choose.
Other
  • Fusion won't be RNG'd - it will only come up if you ask for it. However, you can ask for the races to be fused to be randomized.

Harpy
Technically, Harpy are a sub-species of taur - with a lower half of an avian. However, unlike taur, they can fly freely - and their upper half gets altered more often. Known for resting high in the trees, harpy are often treasured for their feathers. Some harpies have arm-wings, while others have wings on their torso.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • An avian bottom half, with talons instead of feet, and a tail. (either raptor-style or bird-style.)
  • Wings - either wing-arms or connected to their avian half.
  • Feathers replace hair - including crests, if you desire.
  • Harpy tend to build their own nests close to friends - and have desires to watch and protect them.
  • Enhanced eyesight - and, with this, a desire to remain in high-up places.
  • Harpy can use their vocal cords to not only let out chirps, but enthrall people with songs - and use it to cast wind-based magic.
Other
  • Harpy can have avian halves which can be ridden, if desired. Yes, there can be Chocobo-people.
  • Some Harpy can change size, as well.

Mer
These creatures are known for their lack of regular limbs, instead having either a single tail or multiple limbs sticking out of their hips. Until recently, Merbeast and Naga were clasified as seperate species - until it was found that Naga held gils, and Merbeast still held lungs. However, they often seem to adapt to either the water or the land, while being able to survive on the other.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • Below their waist, their legs are replaced with an aquatic creatures - or a snakes.
  • They have both gills and lungs - but one is usually easier to breathe with then the other.
  • The ability to hypnosis others.
  • A jaw which can unhinge, along with fangs which can paralyze others.
  • A third eyelid, which means it seems their eyes are always open.
  • Scales - or the skin of their fish half - may grow past their tail. They may also grow fins on the rest of their body - even if they're more snake-like.
  • An ability to charm people and shapeshift them with kisses.
  • A sensitivity to vibrations in the ground and air.
Other
  • Yes, you can have tentacles instead of a single tail. These tentacles can be used for all sort of things.
  • While Mer cannot get their legs back, there are expensive experimental false legs for Mers, to assist in getting around.
  • In the ocean, there are all sorts of fish to be eaten, but Mer tend to stick to the rivers in-land.

Taur
These beings are seen as mythical and worshiped by those of Seihkir - half-human, and half-beast. Usually land mammals, but they can carry traits of other land animals as well. Sometimes, they grow other animalistic traits.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • A half-person, half-animal body - usually from the waist down.
  • The rest of the body tends to get traits from that animal.
  • A deep desire to gather knowledge, and pride of their knowledge.
  • Strength in their body - enough to carry at least one other person on their back. This means some taur do end up as violent savages.
  • A natural talent with music, and the ability to use magic in said magic.
Other
  • Taur tend to be the same size as a horse, at the very least. If they're based on a smaller animal, then they're nice and big.
  • There can be insect taurs as well. Centipede beasts.
  • The only restriction on Taur species are ones which would suit Mer and Harpy more.

Chimera

Chimera
While these creatures don't hold any sign of looking humanoid, they carry the traits of many species. They're only called Chimera for the only thing they seem to share is how odd they seem. Some, however, only shift during the day or night - holding only a few traits of their true form at the other time.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • Traits of multiple mundane or canon creatures - at least two of them.
  • It is rare for a Chimera to look like the form they were before shifting/humans.
  • During the day, with training, they can shift to being humanoid/gijinka. However, it is the light of the sun which causes this. (Or, it can be the opposite - some shifting at night.)
  • A mild form of Lunacy - during the night, there's a sense of paranoia in most Chimera and a desire to be somewhere safe.
  • A mix of powers to suit their form - Chimera powers are usually chaotic in nature.
  • A sensitivity to static and electricity in the air.
Other
  • Chimera should not use too many traits of other creatures.
  • Chimera can also be mixed with plants or non-living creatures.

Kitsune
Kitsune are beings on four legs, who are shapeshifting cats who can create charms and can channel the magic of the world. However, they're often seen as tricksters. They tend to have many tails, and some have bat-like wings and poisonous tails - said to curse others.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • Kitsune are, naturally, multi-tailed vulpine or feline-like. However, they can also take the form of magical familiars from other canons.
  • The more tales a Kitsune has, the more powerful they are - all Kitsune are strong with magic, however.
  • They tend to be able to conjour wings for themselves.
  • They can shapeshift and appear as a gijinka - human-esque shape. However, they cannot hide their ears nor tails.
  • A compulsion for cleanliness and knowledge both.
  • A tricksters' mindset - mostly used to steal things.
  • The ability to share their magic with others - though objects or a bonding process.
Other
  • Kitsune can grow more tails during the game.
  • These tails can be enchanted and become poisonous, as well - or curse people if they're touched.

Scalie
While these scaled creatures may be like our reptiles, many texts seem to show they were the first who settled in this land. While some have wings - big or small - quite a few don't.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • Scales tend to cover all their body, except for their underbelly. These scales are hard to pierce. (People who turn to them tend to keep their hair – these beasts grow fur-like manes.) Some scalies also grow feathers alongside scales.
  • Can have wings – either on their back or as wingarms.
  • Lizard-like head - from simply having their eyes shift to getting a snout to a fully changed head.
  • Sharp teeth.
  • A tail - which can be as long or as short as you want.
  • Cold-blooded. Tend to stay near warm places, or use their breath to keep things warm.
  • A desire to hoard objects.
Other
  • Scalies are long-lived creatures - even many old people who become one might be called a child.
  • Scalies have their own language, which consists of a lot of hissing and clicking.

Halflings
To us, Halflings might be called Anthropomorphic Animals - or furries. Halflings, however, cover mammal land-based furries - from sugar gliders to bats to even dogs and cats. They walk on two legs, and only sometimes have their heads shift to be more animal-like.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • Animal or Dogface-like head.
  • Bodies covered in fur, fluff, or whatever the creature they’re inspired by has.
  • Can walk on all fours or still on feet. Tails optional. Hands and feet may shift as well to animal-like.
  • Tend to gain traits from the creature they’re based on.
  • Can communicate with animals.
  • Tend to be one of the stronger of the races.
  • If their animal has special powers, they can learn to use them.
Other
  • Any land mammal is allowed - from other canons as well. (Yes, including Pokemon.)
  • Most native Halfling have animal heads.
  • If you desire a non-land mammal Halfling, that's an acceptable use of a Fusion.

Umbra

Umbra
The Umbra are a curious race. While they seem to simply be wisps, Umbra are said to be some of the strongest beings there are - for they constantly use illusions to change both their appearance and the area around them. It takes a trained eye to see an Umbra illusion from reality.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • A form consisting of a wisp of elemental energy. Colour and design is up to you.
  • A default illusioned form, of your choice. When not focusing on creating another form, this is how they'll look. However, they don't hold the powers of other forms.
  • Any tells you desire - no breath, no shadow, sounding wrong.
  • A desire to decieve people with their illusions, for their own means.
  • The ability to manipulate their enviroment. However, they cannot create anything real. After an illusion, the objects glamoured will leave behind soft marks in the colour of your wisp.
  • The ability to hide within electronics and machines. However, unlike Elementals, they cannot control these bodies.
  • A desire to avoid wide-open spaces.
Other
  • Umbra can shift into the Other World, with training.

  • Large wings - as many or as little as you want.
  • Either halos or horns on their head - or both.
  • At least one extra pair of eyes anywhere on their body.

Vampire

Vampire
These aren't your regular vampires - they seem to be a sub-species of faerie, who feed on the spirits and blood of those they care for. However, they also have some demon-esque traits - it's said these are what are spoken of as succubi and the such.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • Enlarged fangs in their mouth to feed on blood and magical power.
  • Paled skin, with small horns on their head. (These horns can be any style, and any amount - they grow the longer a vampire lives.)
  • A whip-like tail, and small wings on their back, of any style.
  • In the sunlight, they cannot use powers, and their body does ache.
  • Telepathy with other vampires.
  • An ability to shapeshift to a single other blood-sucking creature. (From their canon or from this world.)
  • Heightened senses.
Other
  • Yes, you can use vampire traits from other media, if you so desire.
  • Vampire feeding - while there are bloodbanks for use by vampires, feeding on those they care for is more filling. They do not need to kill somebody when drinking their blood.

Permotio

Permotio
When one dies and is not buried properly, it's said that they leave behind a Permotio. These are the undead of Seihkir, and are often taken care of gently - for these beings are known as emotionless. This isn't just a title - they have shifted to feeling but a single emotion, due to their soul now residing outside their body.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • When fed, these Others look like regular people – as they did before. However, when hungry, they look like empty husks of that form - with pale skin.
  • Parts of their body can change - hair, eyes, or even odd glowing spots - to match their emotions.
  • After their first time borrowing emotions, a familiar will appear with them. This familiar represents their inner soul, and can be any creature.
  • Once a Permotio has bonded with somebody due to feeding on them, they grow defensive of this one person - the extent can be up to you.
  • A desire to avoid light and the sun.
Other
  • Yes, Permotio can feed on NPCs if you so desire.
  • They can also show traits of undead from other canons.
  • Any species is allowed for their bonded creature.

Faerie

[personal profile] erthkirdir
Faerie
Often known as Paragon or the Fair Folk, Faerie are beings which seem to work on another plain of existance. Often looking like bugs and other creepy-crawlies, they flitter into the world of Seihkir to spread chaos and glee. The native residents tend to call them luckbringers, for if you are kind to a Faerie, you can expect much kindness to happen to you in exchange. But beware. For their kindness is but a ruse, most likely.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • Insect-like wings and antennae on their bodies.
  • A smaller size - though they can grow to their old size, most faerie are around the size of a book.
  • A secondary mouth on their body - this is now their true mouth, which can be used to hold things within. Most Faerie do not consume Human food, and most Human do not consume Faerie food.
  • Though they've grown smaller, they grow an exoskeleton which protects their skin. It tends to colour their skin.
  • The ability to charm people, and command them to speak truths - or to steal control over their bodies.
  • A desire to repay gifts in kind - though the gifts are not always physical.
  • The ability to vanish into thin air - and to appear elsewhere, travelling though the Other World. This is where their true mouth also leads. They can lead another though here, but can also leave them there.
  • A hoarding instinct, but not as strong as a Scalie.
Other
  • The Other World which Faerie can go though is oddly... Void-like. Purple and horrific, if non-fae are left there, they begin to have their very lifeforce removed.
  • Faeries can look like any insect, including spiders. If they are spider-like, they can create webbing. Faerie can also gain extra limbs.

Elemental

[personal profile] erthkirdir
Elementals
Elementals are said to be embodiments of the various things which make up the threads of the universe. They tend to come in a variety of colours and substances, which can vary from soft water to the hardest of rocks - though, it still seems to ooze when they move. These beasts can enter other creations - from golems to robots to even other people - to take control of them.
Traits
(You may add more, if you so desire.)
  • A form made of either an element or a substance which can flow. However, it can be something we see as solid.
  • Elemental can possess people by oozing inside them, and take control of them.
  • However, Elemental are more prone to possessing inanimate objects. When somebody turns to one, their old body can be turned into a Golem.
  • They can shrink or grow with their element.
  • Hard to destroy - as long as there's a little bit of them left, the creature is still alive. (They also feel less pain.)
  • Elementals can store objects inside themselves.
Other
  • They can be made of anything, in other words.
  • If a slime is made of a material creatures could grow in or live in, then they can have that happens. (Yes, there can be moving dirt piles.)
